William Wright & Son Solicitors has been dispensing sympathetic but practical legal advice to Dudley families and small businesses since 1919.

Our team are all Dudley locals, giving us added insight into your needs. We are highly skilled professionals, but friendly and approachable. You will find us emotionally sensitive to your situation, while remaining objective in the legal advice we give.

You will always be able to talk to the person assigned to your case and they won't bombard you with legal jargon. We want your dealings with us to be easy to understand, stress-free and value for money.

We have five solicitors and two legal execs in the team. Our family law solicitors are members of Resolution and the Law Society's Children Panel and Family Law Panel. This means we agree to encourage families to resolve disputes in a constructive, conciliatory and non-confrontational manner.

How we charge - Public Funding (Legal Aid)

If you are on a low income, your fees could be paid by Public Funding (formerly Legal Aid). We can assess your case and arrange for Public Funding if you are eligible. Care proceedings are always publicly funded if you are the parent of the child concerned.

How we charge - Private Clients

Where possible we provide an estimate for the total work, based on our hourly rate. We also send out cost updates at regular intervals. It is normally possible to provide a clear quotation for drawing up a will and for a property conveyance.

It can be more difficult to give a precise figure for family proceedings. That's why for matters involving a relationship breakdown and/or children we offer an initial one-off chat with a family law solicitor for a fixed fee of £95 +VAT. This very popular service allows you to find out where you stand and what your options are if you proceed with legal action.
